Committees and Working Groups
We have a Finance Committee, who meet as and when necessary but as a minimum at least three times a year, including January, when the precept requirement for the following year will be assessed ready for presentation to full Council.
We also have a Planning Committee, which holds public meetings to discuss planning applications and decisions when urgent decisions are required and cannot wait for the full monthly Council meeting.
Both groups have specific tasks and can have delegated powers which need to be confirmed by the full council.
Both groups produce minutes of all meetings which are posted on the Parish Council website.
The Council also has representatives on the Joint Bewerley Parish Council / Pateley Bridge Town Council Joint Liaison Committee and the Joint Emergency Committee.
The Council is represented on the following groups and organisations:
Nidderdale Strategic Partnership, Quarry Liaison
Greenhow Landscape and Bio Trust Fund, Yorkshire Local Councils Association
Safer Neighbourhood Group, Lime Kilns Safety Maintenance
Upper Nidderdale Landscape Partnership Board.
The council may set up other working groups to deal with any issues relating to Parish business.
