Proposal for fence round the bowling green at the Recreation Ground

Bewerley Parish Council and Pateley Bridge Town Council are considering a request by Pateley Bridge Bowling Club to install a three-foot-high fence around the bowling green at the Recreation Ground. The club believes a fence is essential for the future viability of this community group. All other bowling clubs they compete with already have fences in place which help to protect the quality of the bowling surface. The proposed fence is similar in style to the railings around the playground to ensure it is in keeping with the rest of the Recreation Ground. A Joint Liaison Committee formed of councillors from both councils will consider the proposal and make a recommendation for both councils to approve. The Bowling Club can apply for funding for the railings once both Bewerley and Pateley Bridge Councils have given their approval for the project.

Bewerley Parish Council welcomes comments on this proposal. Please send comments by email to clerk@bewerleyparishcouncil.gov.uk.
